Hi, I’m Hannah!
I was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico then moved to Granbury, Texas when I was 9 years old. I believe I got my love for musical theatre from my grandpa, Faustino. In Albuquerque, he would take me, my mom, and my sister to see The Lion King national tour every time it was in town. He loved watching movie musicals like West Side Story and The Phantom of the Opera, so I gained a love for musical theatre very early on in life.
I am currently pursuing a BFA in Musical Theatre at the University of Texas at Arlington. At UTA, I have learned to enjoy the exploration of character development, especially characters who find their confidence through self-discovery. I have had the opportunity to be in several productions at UTA, most notably as Claire De Loone in On the Town. In 2023, I got to participate in the Musiktheater Bavaria program, where I spent all of July in Oberaudorf, Germany learning from international musical theatre and opera professionals. I had never been out of the country, so it was very eye opening to live in a different country and speak a different language for a whole month. This was a uniquely transformative experience for me that I will never forget.
In the DFW area, I have had the opportunity to work with theater companies like The Firehouse Theatre (Footloose), MainStage Irving-Las Colinas (The Light in The Piazza), Granbury Theatre Company (Best Little Whorehouse in Texas), and Theatre Arlington (Broadway: Then and Now Cabaret).
While studying at UTA, I have also found a passion for sewing and costume construction. My junior year, I was a work-study in our UTA costume shop alongside three extremely talented costume designers. I learned everything from how to cut out a pattern, to how to turn a sheet of foam into an armor corset. This passion has stayed with me, and has inspired me in my free time to alter my own clothes to make them unique fashion pieces.
In the future, I would like to travel, perform on a cruise line, and move to New York to pursue my dream of performing on Broadway. Until then, you can find me cheering on them Cowboys, hanging out with my cat, Otis, or out thrifting for Y2K outfits with my friends around Arlington!
